Well, that's another college year over. I really don't know wheather to feel elated or sad as it is my final year here.
I have my results, got honours in my degree so am happy. Am starting my job next week, so all is good on that front.
Got a new camera, am happy. My other one of 5 years died on me after the graduation ball before the exams.
As usual, rushed to get everything finished and submitted before I was finished up in Carlow.
The novels at the time totally got to me and I couldn't read them then. Am catching up over the holidays.
Have to apply for courses. Hope I'm not too late to do so.
If I had two words to describe what it's like to be back home. It would be probably that it was beautifullly dull.
Was so tired after I finished my exams.
In other news, going to Ac/DC this Sunday, can't wait.
Booked tickets for the Galway Arts Festival in July. Have to see what is on in the Galway Film Fleah this year, might actually go.

Well, to explain the last comment that I left on my blog last night. There is a teeny tiny little Doctor in the episode that had aired yesterday.

Ok, I urge you to get to see the Who, they were absolutly brillo. Well worth the ticket. The atmosphere was electric magic.
Marlay Park was a great venue to see them in. The Answer were very good too.
In tv news, Doctor Who exceeded expectations that I had had in the episode.
So sad at the end, went a bit Doctor Who mad and got another novel and Doctor Who magazine.
I wonder can I get an icon of imp Doctor, cute in a creepy way.

Big Brother is watching You

But I'm no longer watching

Mean to write about this here but I didn't have the time.
'Reality' TV. I'm sick of it. It is the same old ding dong all the time and this years Big Brother is no exception.
Also, soap plotlines are mediocre this weather.
But by mushing together Big Brother and your favourite soap.
Give up.
Well the answer to that question is BBC's Springwatch. Broadcast everyday from Monday to Thursday for a couple of weeks each year.
I quickly became addicted to the antics of the owls, badgers, the 'chip shop family' of foxes and the other animals featured on the show each day.
So you can keep your Big Brother antics at night when they do nothing but sleep.
Or you can watch lively night activity on Sprinwatch Nightshift programme. Where the badgers are always doing something unlike the BB housemates.
Forget human real life, animal real life is where the action is really at.

Hmm, I wonder if the creators of the show could join forces with the natural world.Presenters over here in Ireland to make a joint show. It would be interesting I think.

So in short, a congrats are in order to the Springwatch team for giving the kick in the pants to the Big Brother people that we wanted for years now to do.....

Well I wanted to do, don't know about other people.

Well to be specific, the Life magazine in theSunday Independant , which I thumbed through today in between reading The Catcher and the Rye.In particular the article by Padraig Kenny in the First Person bit titled Attack of the Teen Zombies.No, well maybe you fit the description of the teen with'dirty blonde hair and vacant expressions'. Am currently watching my Doctor Who Series 2 DVD. Updated my ipod today. My favourite line of the mo from Doctor Who would have to be the one that echoed the TV movies, y'know the line from the TV move that goes ' I love Humans, always seeing patterns in things that aren't there'
There is a similar line in 'The Satan Pit' that goes 'That is so Human, where Angels fear to tread'
BTW, did anyone happen to notice the thing about the urge to jump thingy mentioned by the Doctor and that feeling at the back of our heads, specifically when Ida(who's human and went down to the pit with The Doctor in this episode) mentioned to The Doctor later in the episode that it came from 'Genetic heritage, ever since we were primates in the trees, its our bodys way of testing us, calculating whether or not we can reach the next branch'. The Doctor never counters and says that it doesn't apply to him only 'No, thats not it, thats too kind, its not the urge to jump, its the urge to fall'
Maybe thats the scripts writers alluding to what went before, besides, it was approximatly 10 years since the TV movie was on the screens. Or maybe I'm in fact falling into the trap of 'seeing patterns that aren't there'

I got a ipod for my birthday and a Gucci watch. Plus hogfather stuff. On the Friday me and Dad went up to dublin on the train and went to the Rock Chic exhibition in the National Museum of Ireland in Collins Barracks, twas good, they had a signed Hendrix guitar as well as Phil Lynott's guitar, you know, the one that is in all the pictures taken of Lizzy, anywho, have stuff to do

Greatings bloggerinos, and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you. Am at home, can go online, THANK GOD. Got a new laptop and Doctor Who Series 2 and the Doctor Who soundtrack. I saw Hogfather finally on Christmas Day and St Stephens day.
Doctor \who was on Christmas Day for a Christmas special, twas brillo
Went to the concert on the 20th, Iron Maiden and Trivium were playing, so it was a double brillo thing for me. Went to Dublin on train and came home likewise. Went Christmas shopping and went to Wagamamas before the concert before going to the concert. Didn't have time to go to Asha though. Stayed overnight in Jury's inn Christchurch before taking the early train home
