Well tis Friday

Am currently watching my Doctor Who Series 2 DVD. Updated my ipod today. My favourite line of the mo from Doctor Who would have to be the one that echoed the TV movies, y'know the line from the TV move that goes ' I love Humans, always seeing patterns in things that aren't there'
There is a similar line in 'The Satan Pit' that goes 'That is so Human, where Angels fear to tread'
BTW, did anyone happen to notice the thing about the urge to jump thingy mentioned by the Doctor and that feeling at the back of our heads, specifically when Ida(who's human and went down to the pit with The Doctor in this episode) mentioned to The Doctor later in the episode that it came from 'Genetic heritage, ever since we were primates in the trees, its our bodys way of testing us, calculating whether or not we can reach the next branch'. The Doctor never counters and says that it doesn't apply to him only 'No, thats not it, thats too kind, its not the urge to jump, its the urge to fall'
Maybe thats the scripts writers alluding to what went before, besides, it was approximatly 10 years since the TV movie was on the screens. Or maybe I'm in fact falling into the trap of 'seeing patterns that aren't there'

We're coming towards the end of March and to be frankly honest, I am exhausted. Both physically and mentally. For the last year, I have been working on a much forgotten about frontline service. Everybody thinks about the Healthcare workers when it comes to the frontline, however the fact of the matter is there are many other services that provided for people on the frontline during the last year when they needed it that aren't given the same recognition. Now I am not saying that we should disregard the fine work of healthcare workers in both General and Mental Health services in this country. They have been exemplary in the past year in dealing with the problems that Covid-19 has presented. Letters from the Irish Lockdown- Letter Three:

Hello again world from Ireland. Well Monday 18th has come and gone and really there was very little change from the previous Friday. In that the traffic had already increased with people having been venturing out and a couple more places are open which weren't open before. What had been announced and was a welcome announcement from me was that face masks/coverings were recommended for people to use venturing out and doing shopping. And who find themselves in enclosed spaces. As of this moment, I can really see no difference to last week. As I have mentioned in my previous post, I am going to continue to do what I was doing and wear my face mask if I intend on going in to pick up essentials..Garden centres and hardware stores are open which is welcome for a lot of people. Also, business that not many people think of as being essential (but really are in this day and age: IT services, electrical and phone repair shops )  are all back open as well. Also golf courses and tennis courts

Big Brother is watching You

But I'm no longer watching Mean to write about this here but I didn't have the time. 'Reality' TV. I'm sick of it. It is the same old ding dong all the time and this years Big Brother is no exception. Also, soap plotlines are mediocre this weather. But by mushing together Big Brother and your favourite soap. Give up. Well the answer to that question is BBC's Springwatch. Broadcast everyday from Monday to Thursday for a couple of weeks each year. I quickly became addicted to the antics of the owls, badgers, the 'chip shop family' of foxes and the other animals featured on the show each day. So you can keep your Big Brother antics at night when they do nothing but sleep. Or you can watch lively night activity on Sprinwatch Nightshift programme. Where the badgers are always doing something unlike the BB housemates. Forget human real life, animal real life is where the action is really at.
